ANNUAL DAY CELEBRATIONS 2026

The 173rd Annual School Day of Hindu Higher Secondary School was a grand celebration of academic excellence, cultural heritage, and student achievements. Held at the school’s stage ground auditorium, the venue was beautifully adorned with colorful backdrops, intricate rangoli designs, and well-arranged seating, all meticulously prepared by Headmaster Shri G. Jeganathan and his dedicated staff.

Chief Guest Shri Baba Shankar, a renowned educationist, could not attend due to urgent personal exigencies.

However, Guest of Honour Dr. P. Sasikumar, Dean and Professor of Surgery at Balaji Medical College and Hospital, Chrompet, graced the occasion.

Also present were School Secretary Shri M.O. Ram Manoj, HEO Members Shri S. Sadagopan )Member of GST Council and Dr. Kamalakannan (Professor of Zoology), Alumni Secretary K. Murugan, Alumni Joint Secretary T. Anand, and EC Member Sundar Subba Rao.

NCC students extended a warm welcome to the Guest of Honour with an impressive parade.

The programme commenced with a ceremonial lighting of the lamp by Dr. Sasikumar and other dignitaries, followed by a soulful school prayer led by Sanskrit teacher Shri Ramchandran.

In his welcome address, School Secretary Shri M.O. Ram Manoj extended heartfelt greetings to all attendees. He has also recollected the important milestones of the school during the years Alumni. President Shri S Ramachandran special wishing note on the occasion was read on the stage .

Headmaster Shri G. Jeganathan then presented the school’s annual report, highlighting key achievements and progress.

The dignitaries were duly honored by the school management.

Dr. P. Sasikumar delivered a vibrant motivational speech, reminiscing about his school days and urging students to embrace challenges early in life for greater success. Quoting Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, he emphasized dreaming big and pursuing goals with unwavering desire and will, earning applause from the audience and dignitaries.

Alumni Secretary K. Murugan expressed gratitude to the school management for their ongoing support and motivated students to approach every task with passion for remarkable achievements.

Shri S. Sadagopan HEO member and also Advisor of alumni association, inspired the youth to aim high and give their best in all endeavors.

Dr. Kamalakannan spoke eloquently on the profound role of teachers in shaping students’ lives.

The event was seamlessly coordinated and compered by school teacher Shri Amuthan and Sanskrit teacher N Ramakrishnan.

Meritorious students received prizes from the Guest of Honour and other dignitaries. Awards were also presented to retired teachers and the best teachers of the year.

Shri Lawrence school teacher proposed the vote of thanks. The programme concluded with the National Anthem, followed by high tea for all attendees.

The event was a resounding success, fostering inspiration and community spirit among students, alumni, and guests.
